What do you guys think of the google proposition 8 maps?
It is a google map listing the names, addresses, and amounts that people donated to proposition 8. Invasion of privacy or revenge? Yahoo won't let me post the link, but the map is definitely real, I am looking at it right now.

I don't care what a gay person thinks about me when it comes to laws that was established for decades. I say "keep traditional marriages" to man and woman, and not of same gender marriages.
I would support a "union" for these couples and nothing else, they should be happy that we are reaching over the table half way to compromise a solution.
They donated money to deny innocent strangers, their fellow citizens, the right to have a family life. They deserve to be outed, shamed, mocked, whatever, the scum.
I am not looking at it because I couldn't find it, but it sounds a little invasive. I heard there has been some violence regarding this issue and I don't think it's safe for names and addresses to be posted.
I think full disclosure is a good idea!
You know, a few years ago it was Democrats who wanted campaign finance reform and Republicans who said we didn't need it. This was when Republicans were pulling in a lot more money than Democrats. Now the situation is reversed and so are the opinions. So I'm not bashing either party here, just pointing out how this works.
But the Republicans who opposed the McCain-Feingold bill, led by Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, said we don't need to restrict campaign contributions, we only need to DISCLOSE them. People would see just who is getting people elected, and that would be good.
It's the same with Prop 8. How much money was spent on each side? Where did the money come from? I think people have a right to know! Don't you?
prop 8? oh gay marriage? adam and eve, not adam and Steve
That's the work of homosexual activists. They are dangerous peole who will resort to any evil so that they can force society to accept their abnormal and immoral ways. They are not just asking to be left alone to live their immoral lives. They are seeking to change society to accept them as normal when they clearly are not.
Today they are targetting those who oppose gay marriage. Tomorrow they will target whoever opposes them in other ways.
Exposing people's private information is really low down and illegal. It is a crime punishable by law.
The information on political donations is public. Someone simply put it on a map but it's the same information that earlier you had to read and type into google maps.
EDIT: I was just reading that the decision to make this information public was also passed in 1974 with a ballot initiative. Prop 8 proponents suing to keep their details secret are actually asking the courts to reverse the will of the majority. You've gotta love the irony
i think it could well be revenge
when something like google does it, it is called, information, if you do it, it would be called invasion of privacy or maybe even some form of terrorism
the state spoke, and now the courts will over turn the will of the people for a very few.
i find the collapse of america to be very rapid, much faster than i thought it could happen.
i'd move to a quiet island and snorkle my life away if my health was better
